Brent Simpson

Brent Simpson is a painter and poet whose works often explore the allegorical and symbolic effects of natural or political events. He works predominantly in oil on canvas or ink on paper. While mostly a self-taught painter and drawer, Simpson has previously taken classes from Matthew Brown (Auckland) and Inverlochy Art School (Wellington). He holds a Bachelor of Arts from UCLA, and a MA from The University of Auckland. 

Brent Simpson was born in Wellington in 1966. He lives on Waiheke Island.
