Belinda Fabris
I am a sculptural artist using ceramics/clay as my primary medium. My pieces look to challenge the values and perceptions of the viewer. I look to the familiar to draw attention to what lies deeper in the consciousness of the observer. I hope my work reflects and questions the changes in social, political and spiritual values in our society. I am inspired by the philosophical teachings of Joseph Campbell regarding myths and legends. Contemporary artists who have inspired and influenced me are, Antony Gormley, Grayson Perry, Yinka Shonibare, Banksy, Paul Dibble, Bronwyn Cornish, Hilary Kerrod, Brendan Adams, Chuck Joseph and Anne Hudson.
