Jamie Reid

Jamie Reid is a painter based on Waiheke Island. Originally from Scotland, he has been painting since childhood. He works mainly with acrylic paint, ink and graffiti pens. His works are generally big, bold, usually square, and explore colour, texture and compositional harmony. Shamelessly, he borrows from other painters, like Hotere, Murado and Johns, but feels this is the best way to learn and explore.
